Cait Miers is a brilliant photographer and one of our good friends. She recently approached us with an event she’s been working on along with Rip Curl athlete turned marketing guru Holly Monkman called Wahine Crew, and we just had to be a part of it.
At it’s very skeletal core, Wahine Crew is essentially a surf & creative retreat.
But don’t let the term surf retreat bore you or make you yawn or click on to the next thing. This one is different, because aside from just getting a bunch of girls together to go surfing, Wahine Crew will also focus on photography, social media advice, and channeling creativity. It’s not a surf retreat that’s just about surfing, but all the other things that come along with surfing in a world where iPhones and social media exist. Sounds intriguing, right?
Wahine Crew’s first camp will run from July 1-7 in Bali.
For this first one, we are looking for girls from all over the world, at any level of surfing, to attend who just want to further their skills in surfing and learn more about photography and social media. In addition to all this, you can expect some fun photoshoots and to get creative with a bunch of other women in and out of the water.
And of course have an insane experience to walk away from at the end of this whole thing.
We’re so excited to be part of this and if you’re around Bali or are able to make a trip out there to attend, do it! You really won’t want to miss it.
