Once you have a profile, you can apply to one-time tasks and care jobs in your area. You’ll be able to job search, manage your clients, and get paid all from one easy place. What’s needed to create my Helper account?

Find flexible work as an in-home care Helper on Herewith earning $25-30/hour on average for helping seniors with everyday tasks and errands.

  2. Follow the prompts on your screen to set up your free Helper profile—this is what clients will see and will help them decide if they want to hire you

Senior care job guide: What’s the difference between tasks and jobs on Herewith?

One-time TasksFor a one-time task, you go to the client’s residence once for a set amount of time and provide help with a specific need. On the Help Request, you’ll see which type of help the older adult needs: Home Help, Errands, Basic Tech Help, or Companionship. 

Help Requests for one-time tasks have a pink icon and a label at the top that tells you what type of task it is. Under that, you’ll see the total amount the family is paying for that task, followed by other details. The task card will be updated with the full worksite address once you’ve been booked. If you’re interested, you can tap the Apply button.

Ongoing JobsFor this type of request, the client wishes to hire a Helper on a regular basis for help with a variety of tasks. Tap or click on the request to see more details, including schedule, hourly rate, and what they’d like you to help with. Ongoing jobs can be part-time or full time, so check out the details to make sure the schedule works for you. 

Help Requests for ongoing jobs have a blue icon and a label at the top that tells you if it’s a full time or part-time job. Under that, you’ll see the hourly rate, followed by other job details. The task card will be updated with the full worksite address once you’ve been hired. If you’re interested, tap the Apply button.

Applying for senior care tasks and jobs on Herewith

As a caregiver, you’re always searching for the perfect clients for your schedule and pay preferences. On Herewith, you can keep tabs on your job search while you’re working or on the go. Log in or open your app to browse tasks and jobs and apply anytime!

Simply click or tap the Browse tab to see all the job openings and tasks in your area and apply as described above.

After you apply, the client will review your application, message you with any questions, and send you an offer if they’d like to book you.

What kind of tasks or jobs can Helpers do?

On Herewith you can find flexible work helping seniors in your community. Choose one-time tasks or ongoing jobs, depending on your schedule and what you enjoy doing. As a Helper, you’ll have the chance to provide a range of non-medical assistance for seniors, such as help around the home, errands, basic tech help, and companionship.

What types of caregiving tasks can clients request?

Families can request help with any of the following one-time tasks for their older loved ones. They’ll post the date and time, number of hours, and pay, so you can decide if it’s a good fit for you.

    Light chores, cooking, or pet care

    Help with shopping or quick trips

    Help with TVs, phones, or computers

How to find part-time or full-time jobs on Herewith

If you’re looking for a steady job, you can also apply to requests for ongoing help. The family will post the number of hours per week, pay range, and other job details, such as what kind of help they’re looking for.

What kind of skills do you need to become a Helper?

We welcome Helpers from all walks of life—no experience necessary. The most important qualities you have as a Helper are enjoyment in helping others, patience, and empathy. Many people who become Helpers got started by caring for their own family or members of their community. Others get their start by driving for rideshare or delivery apps.

If you are interested in growing your caregiving skills to help you work with older adults, Herewith offers free online training with Care Academy. Gaining new skills can help you boost your pay rate and find clients who require a higher level of in-home care.

How much can I earn as a Helper?

Helpers typically make an average of $25-30/hour, but there are a lot of ways to make more. It depends on your skills, what kind of tasks you like to help with, and the typical wages for senior caregivers where you live.

Can I set my own hours as a Helper?

Yes, you can set your availability on your profile and apply to jobs and one-time tasks that work for your schedule. If you get hired for an ongoing job, you will chat with your client to set your work schedule.
